Dana Stetzer, Chief Executive Officer
Dana proudly leads BestMark, which is one of the world’s largest mystery shopping, market research and customer experience measurement companies. With more than 15 years of experience working in survey research, she’s passionate about advancing market research and discovering meaningful ways to collect and interpret customer experience insights in a world that’s in constant transformation.
Dana’s knowledge of strategic planning and advancing technologies is extensive, and she thrives on developing relationships with clients and partners that are built on integrity and trust. She also cultivates a culture where employees feel inspired to collaborate and apply their expertise in developing successful research programs for some of the most innovative, customer-focused organizations in the world.
She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business administration with a marketing focus and serves on MSPA® Americas Board of Directors. Dana was also nominated by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ) as “Women to Know” among a group of 100 local leaders and she’s on MSPBJ’s Women’s Leadership Council. She was also featured in the January-February 2020 edition of Quirk’s Magazine Ask the Expert.
In her spare time, she remains active in the MBA Mentorship Program at Bethel University and loves spending time with her husband and three children.
Amanda Anderson, Director of Client Services
As the Director of Client Services, Amanda manages some of the world’s largest mystery shopping and auditing programs. She leads her team in designing research programs for clients through strategic consultation and expertise in CX solutions. Amanda’s ability to build both internal and external relationships, combined with her dedication and drive to provide best-in-class service, make her a great asset to the BestMark team.
Personally, Amanda’s an avid animal lover who enjoys yoga, traveling, wine and spending time Up North during the summer months with her family.
DeAnne Berwald, Director of Operations
DeAnne has proven success in managing 80+ full- and part-time employees across several departments. As a hands-on, results-oriented leader she continues to successfully drive efficiencies throughout all phases of the organization from operations and survey design to project creation, implementation and delivery of data and analytics.
Well-respected for being a master of process, order and execution, DeAnne’s daily commitment to BestMark, its colleagues and doing the right thing is unwavering. Throughout her 10+ years with the company, she has been instrumental in helping build and maintain longstanding partnerships with some of our most powerful and influential clients.
DeAnne’s first passion is her family — especially her fur baby. However, you can find her most summer nights sitting under the stars on a patio with her friends!
Cindy Gehl, Client Services Sr. Account Manager
Cindy cultivates long-term business relationships by providing strategic consultation around customer experience services based on clients’ business goals and objectives. This includes proposal development, program design, reporting deliverables, and translation of data into insights. She has solid knowledge of all aspects of BestMark’s operations, including quality assurance, survey development and design, and reporting. Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Winona State University and previously worked for a national retailer where she honed her project management, client relations and communications skills. Her guilty pleasure is watching Food Network whenever she has the chance! She likes to cook for others, read, run and spend time with her husband and two daughters.
Ryan Doroff, Client Services Project Manager
Ryan works with our clients to understand, create and deliver effective customer experience (CX) solutions. A skilled relationship builder, Ryan earns clients’ trust that he’ll get the job done efficiently while also keeping overall program objectives in mind. He’s a key player whose project-management contributions are highly valued throughout the organization. Plus, his charisma and positive attitude are contagious! Personally, Ryan loves to spend time with his family, relax at the lake and be outdoors.
Ted Mika, Lead Developer
Ted has been working in IT since 1990. He first worked with BestMark as a consultant in 2000 before joining BestMark full-time in 2011 to lead our systems and database architecture. He has previously worked with technology-driven companies such as CarSoup, Syntegra/Control Data, Internet Broadcasting Systems, and Transport America. Ted specializes in new-technology integration, systems design and optimization, APIs, and dynamic web pages. He also excels in designing reusable and extensible code, primarily on Web and Microsoft platforms. During his free time, Ted enjoys his family, biking, hiking, dancing and technology.
